May 25th, 2023 – The day I said goodbye to sophomore school year and I said hello to Costa Rica. With our backpacks brimming with anticipation, we eagerly set off for Hobby Airport, ready to explore the stunning landscapes of Costa Rica.
Upon arrival at the airport, we quickly navigated through the bustling crowds and embarked on a flight to San Jose, Costa Rica. The plane touched down at the vibrant San Jose airport, where the warm tropical air welcomed us with open arms. Our spirits soared as we anticipated the incredible experiences that awaited us in this beautiful country.
After completing the necessary formalities, we made our way to the rental car area, where an old Mitsubishi Montero awaited our command. With its horrible stench yet sturdy build, the Montero was somewhat a companion for our journey through the unpaved roads of Costa Rica.
Our first stop after leaving the airport was the Hyatt hotel, nestled amidst the city mall. With its warm hospitality, the Hyatt provided the perfect respite after a long day of travel. We settled into our comfortable rooms, knowing that a restful night’s sleep awaited us.
As nighttime descended upon us, our rumbling stomachs led us to Naan & Curries, an Indian restaurant. The paneer tikka masala and the mahi mahi curry blew my taste bud and they both earned a well-deserved 10/10 rating. Our culinary adventure had only just begun.
With our hunger satisfied and our minds brimming with excitement, we returned to the Hyatt, eagerly anticipating the next day’s adventures. As we drifted off to sleep, visions of Costa Rica’s breathtaking landscapes danced in our dreams.
